  • .NET Core is the future of .NET: If you’ve already started working with .NET Core, that’s great! If you’re starting a new project, you should consider .NET Core.
  • .NET Framework will continue to be supported: If you have any existing applications on .NET Framework (Windows-only), you can keep those on .NET Framework.
  • .NET Releases will become more predictable: Starting with .NET 5.0, there will be 1 major release every year,  after which each even-numbered release (6.0, 8.0, etc) will come with LTS (Long-Term Support).

A Tour of Go (golang) for the C# Developer

Learning other programming languages enhances our work in our primary language. From the perspective of a C# developer, the Go language (golang) has many interesting ideas. Go is opinionated on some things (such as where curly braces go and what items are capitalized). Declaring an unused variable causes a compile failure; the use of "blank identifiers" (or "discards" in C#) are common. Concurrency is baked right in to the language through goroutines and channels. Programming by exception is discouraged; it's actually called a "panic" in Go. Instead, errors are treated as states to be handled like any other data state. We'll explore these features (and others) by building an application that uses concurrent operations to get data from a service. These ideas make us think about the way we program and how we can improve our day-to-day work (in C# or elsewhere).

C# 6 - String Interpolation
یک نکته‌ی تکمیلی: روش رفع خطای CA1305

با «غنی سازی کامپایلر C# 9.0 با افزونه‌ها» نکات جالبی در کدها ظاهر می‌شوند که یکی از آن‌ها CA1305 است و به صورت خلاصه عنوان می‌کند که اگر متد در حال استفاده، دارای overload ای با پارامتر از نوع IFormatProvider هست، حتما از آن استفاده کنید؛ تا شاهد مشکلاتی مانند « تغییرات مهم مقایسه‌ی رشته‌ها در NET 5.0. » و « از متد DateTime.ToString بدون پارامتر استفاده نکنید! » نباشید. در مورد C# 6 - String Interpolation در متن جاری نکاتی در این مورد عنوان شده‌است. می‌توان جهت تکمیل آن، نکته‌ی ریز زیر را هم مدنظر داشت:

System.FormattableString استاندارد، به همراه متد استاتیک Invariant هم هست که همان کار ToString(CultureInfo.InvariantCulture) را انجام می‌دهد. جهت ساده سازی آن هم از ویژگی using static استفاده شده‌است.
