Last Friday, ASP.NET Core quietly switched from supporting .NET Standard 1.* and .NET 4.* to only supporting .NET Core 2.0. This means that ASP.NET Core 1.0/1.1 applications running Mono or the full .NET Framework will not be upgradable to ASP.NET Core 2.0 when it is released in 2-3 months.

NetSqlAzMan is the .NET Sql Authorization Manager short form and is an applicative authorization manager, that is, given an application user, what this user is authorized to do within that application.

My guess is that this could be part of a long-term strategy to retire the full .NET Framework , rather than bringing any real value to .NET Core or desktop applications.
