OWASP’s Top 10 Risk List is an important tool for security engineers and compliance analysts. It describes the 10 worst security problems that are found in web and mobile applications today. But, on its own, it’s not much help to developers, so OWASP has come up with a list of 10 things that you can do as a developer to make sure that your code is safe and secure. 

It has only been about a year since .NET Core 1.0 RC came out. We are now getting close to .NET Core 2.0. We have been playing with .NET Core since the betas and feel like the quality of the 1.0 runtime was very good. Our only complaint has really been odd Visual Studio behavior. We would expect that with 2.0, the adoption of .NET Core is likely to skyrocket. 

Today we are pleased to announce the availability of .NET Multi-platform App UI (.NET MAUI) Preview 4. Each preview introduces more controls and features to this multi-platform toolkit on our way to general availability this November at .NET Conf. .NET MAUI now has enough building blocks to build functional applications for all supported platforms, new capabilities to support running Blazor on the desktop, and exciting progress in Visual Studio to support .NET MAUI.

JazSharp is a unit testing framework for .NET that works very similar to Jasmine:

• Tests are defined using Describe and It

• Method calls can be replaced with spies allowing you to truly isolate the code you are testing

• Full set of Assets (known as Expects) including ToHaveBeenCalledWith, ToEqual and ToContain which perform recursive comparisons 

We strongly believe in a long-term value of this project. A code base in managed code is more approachable for developers and thus easier to extend and maintain.
