I’ve been building some ASP.NET Core apps as of late and had to dig into how Dependency Injection works there. After talking with Julie Lerman a bit on Twitter about it, I realized that there might be some confusing things about how it works in ASP.NET Core, so I’m hoping I can add some clarity in this post. 

Since October 2015, the WPF designer from SharpDevelop has been a standalone component that can be re-used in any application that needs to integrate a XAML designer. That component is now free of dependencies.

In the same time when first object-oriented languages were emerging, another concept inspired by general relativity and quantum mechanics was taking shape – actor model. In general terms, the Actor model was defined 1973. and was developed on a platform of multiple independent processors in a network. Similar to the object-oriented approach, this essentially mathematical model, revolved around the concept of actors. An actor is the smallest structural unit of Actor model, and just like objects, they encapsulate data and behavior. In difference to objects, however, actors communicate with each other exclusively trough messages. Messages in actors are processed in a serial manner. According to the full definition of actors, they can do three things:

• send a finite number of messages to other actors
  
• create a finite number of new actors
  
• designate the behavior to be used for the next message it receives

You can subclass  HandleErrorAttribute  and override its  OnException  member (no need to copy) so that it logs the exception with ELMAH and only if the base implementation handles it.  

In an attempt to correct many perceived deficiencies in Entity Framework Core, Microsoft is introducing 40 breaking changes to EF Core 3. You can see the entire breaking changes list on Microsoft Docs, but here are some of the highlights. 

My guess is that this could be part of a long-term strategy to retire the full .NET Framework , rather than bringing any real value to .NET Core or desktop applications.
