Welcome to the November 2018 release of Visual Studio Code. There are a number of significant updates in this version that we hope you will like, some of the key highlights include:

• Multiline search improvements - Easily create multiline search patterns without using regex.
• Custom title bar on Linux - The custom title and menu bar is now the default on Linux.
• References view - Find All References view includes history of recent searches.
• Snippet comment variables - Snippet variables insert correct comment per language.
• JS/TS callback display - Now you can see the context of anonymous callbacks.
• JSDoc Markdown highlighting - Including syntax highlighting for Markdown code blocks in JSDoc.
• Simplified debug configuration - Better defaults and Quick Pick UI for initial launch configuration.
• Run tasks on folder open - Configure tasks to run when you first open a project folder.
• Choose extension version - Install earlier versions of Marketplace extensions. 

Oracle is pleased to announce that Oracle database support for Entity Framework Core 7 (EF7) is now available. Download Oracle EF7 for free from NuGet Gallery. 

There is no question that the Polly library has had a big impact on the .NET community in providing useful resilience and transient fault handling policies in an accessible way to millions of projects. 

The latest MySQL release has been published on January 17th, 2023. MySQL 8.0.32 contains some new features and bug fixes. As usual, it also contains contributions from our great MySQL Community.

The first minor release of Bootstrap 5 is here! v5.1.0 has arrived and is packed with exciting new features and improvements. There’s experimental support for CSS Grid, offcanvas in the navbar, a new placeholders component, horizontal collapse support, new helpers, new CSS variables in our utilities, refactored JavaScript, and more. 

This is the first major-version release we’ve had in about three years (Autofac 4.0 was released in August 2016). There are some breaking changes and new features you should know about as you decide your upgrade strategy. Hopefully this will help you navigate those waters. 

This is the recommended release for SQL Server 2022, and it includes support for combability level 160.  

What's new in the .NET Framework 4.6.1

The fourth preview of .NET 7 includes enhancements to observability in the .NET implementation of OpenTelemetry, the addition of properties to track microseconds and nanoseconds in date and time structures, new metrics for caching extensions, performance-boosting “on stack replacement,” APIs to work with .tar archives, and additional features as part of an ongoing effort to improve the performance of and add features to regular expressions in .NET 7.
