What’s new for performance in .NET Core and ASP.NET Core 3.0 – Ben Adams
One of the biggest advantages of using .NET Core (besides cross-platform support) is the drastic improvements in performance. Because the .NET Core team was able to make minor breaking changes in the runtime and Base Class Library (BCL), lots of stuff was implemented much more efficiently. In this session Ben will dive into the performance improvements in .NET Core in the 3.0 release: runtime changes, JIT changes, intrinsics and a deep dive into some of the improvements making it the best release yet!

  • .NET Core is the future of .NET: If you’ve already started working with .NET Core, that’s great! If you’re starting a new project, you should consider .NET Core.
  • .NET Framework will continue to be supported: If you have any existing applications on .NET Framework (Windows-only), you can keep those on .NET Framework.
  • .NET Releases will become more predictable: Starting with .NET 5.0, there will be 1 major release every year,  after which each even-numbered release (6.0, 8.0, etc) will come with LTS (Long-Term Support).

  • Validate arguments from events.
  • Validate inputs and results from JS interop calls.
  • Avoid using (or validate beforehand) user input for .NET to JS interop calls.
  • Prevent the client from allocating an unbound amount of memory.
    • Data within the component.
    • DotNetObject references returned to the client.
  • Guard against multiple dispatches.
  • Cancel long-running operations when the component is disposed.
  • Avoid events that produce large amounts of data.
  • Avoid using user input as part of calls to NavigationManager.NavigateTo and validate user input for URLs against a set of allowed origins first if unavoidable.
  • Don't make authorization decisions based on the state of the UI but only from component state.
  • Consider using Content Security Policy (CSP) to protect against XSS attacks.
  • Consider using CSP and X-Frame-Options to protect against click-jacking.
  • Ensure CORS settings are appropriate when enabling CORS or explicitly disable CORS for Blazor apps.
  • Test to ensure that the server-side limits for the Blazor app provide an acceptable user experience without unacceptable levels of risk.

از ASP.NET Core 1.0 RC2 چه خبر؟

- حرکت به سمت استفاده از NET Standard. که در برگیرنده‌ی دات نت فریم ورک فعلی، دات نت Core و Xamarin می‌شود.
- بازنویسی کامل قسمت تزریق وابستگی‌های آن و حذف service locatorهای فعلی آن تا حد ممکن
- حذف DNX و جایگزینی آن با NET CLI.
- تغییر نحوه‌ی کار با Hosting APIs  
- بهبود کارآیی Kestrel (the web/app server)
