A function for loading CSS asynchronously

Why loadCSS?

Referencing CSS stylesheets with link[rel=stylesheet] or @import causes browsers to delay page rendering while a stylesheet loads. When loading stylesheets that are not critical to the initial rendering of a page, this blocking behavior is undesirable. The new <link rel="preload"> standard enables us to load stylesheets asynchronously, without blocking rendering, and loadCSS provides a JavaScript polyfill for that feature to allow it to work across browsers. Additionally, loadCSS offers a separate (and optional) JavaScript function for loading stylesheets dynamically.

Editor.js is a block-styled editor for rich media stories. It outputs clean data in JSON instead of heavy HTML-markup. And more important thing is that Editor.js is designed to be API extendable and pluggable.

I retired a year and a half ago after having worked for twenty-six years as a programmer for Apple. I’m not sure which would have been more surprising: if I had continued programming in my spare time after I had retired or if I never programmed again.

The HTTP protocol specification defines an ETag as the "entity value for the requested variant"  Another way of saying this is that the ETag is a token that can be associated with web resource

In order to cleanse the data as we parse it, we thought using a try/catch would be ok. If we don’t catch the exceptions, we’re good, right?
Turns out it kills our performance when we throw a lot of exceptions, even if we don’t catch them. Each exception has some costs . We needed to find a way to handle this data without involving exceptions.
TryParse turns out to be a method designed to solve our problem. We ran some benchmarks to prove it.
