It will be easier to ask questions among the language design team, the compiler implementers, and the standards committee. Even better, those conversations will be public.
ASP.NET Core 1.0 is the ground-up rewrite of ASP.NET, MVC and Web API, bringing a new paradigm in building web applications and APIs in .NET. With this rewrite brought new techniques in building SOLID applications, and updated some existing patterns and tools.

.NET 4.7.2 is for streaming data into memory between 2% (Unsafe Parse x86), 7% (Unsafe Parse x64) and 40% (Span Parse x64) slower than .NET Core. Especially the 40% speed drop for Span based Apis due to the lack of JIT support by the .NET Runtime is unfortunate.
Today, we are releasing .NET 5.0 Preview 8. The .NET 5.0 release is now “feature complete”, meaning that very nearly all features are in their final form (with the exception of bug fixes still to come). Preview 8 is, appropriately, the last preview. We plan on releasing two go-live release candidates before the final .NET 5.0 release in November.
