I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to setup and install ASP.NET Core 2.1 on Linux. I did it for the first time in 15 minutes with no previous experience with .NET Core on Linux. I did it the second time, in production, in 5 minutes by following these instructions.
In this article, I show you how to install the .NET Core runtime on CentOS, how to get a sample ASP.NET Core project running on Kestrel as a service for reliability, and how to configure both the code and the firewall to enable remote access. Finally, I discuss what I would do differently for actual production usage.

Originally developed at Google, gRPC today is a remote procedure call (RPC) framework that has emerged as an alternative to RESTful and HTTP-based interfaces to connect remote components and specifically microservices. The new RPC framework was created in part to work with modern technologies such as HTTP/2 and Protobuf.
:When to use Async/Await
There are basically two scenarios where Async/Await is the right solution
I/O-bound work: Your code will be waiting for something, such as data from a database, reading a file, a call to a web service. In this case you should use Async/Await, but not use the .Task Parallel Library
CPU-bound work: Your code will be performing a complex computation. In this case, you should use Async/Await but spawn the work off on another thread using Task.Run. You may .also consider using the Task Parallel Library
