Welcome to the November 2018 release of Visual Studio Code. There are a number of significant updates in this version that we hope you will like, some of the key highlights include:
- Multiline search improvements - Easily create multiline search patterns without using regex.
- Custom title bar on Linux - The custom title and menu bar is now the default on Linux.
- References view - Find All References view includes history of recent searches.
- Snippet comment variables - Snippet variables insert correct comment per language.
- JS/TS callback display - Now you can see the context of anonymous callbacks.
- JSDoc Markdown highlighting - Including syntax highlighting for Markdown code blocks in JSDoc.
- Simplified debug configuration - Better defaults and Quick Pick UI for initial launch configuration.
- Run tasks on folder open - Configure tasks to run when you first open a project folder.
- Choose extension version - Install earlier versions of Marketplace extensions.
Flux is an architecture for creating data layers in JavaScript applications. It was designed at Facebook along with the React view library. It places a focus on creating explicit and understandable update paths for your application's data, which makes tracing changes during development simpler and makes bugs easier to track down and fix.
- Outstanding support for T4 templates is here with capabilities such as template execution, debugging, code highlighting, navigation, refactorings, code completion, and much more.
Parse those pesty unreadable long stack traces. Stack Trace Explorer provides syntax highlighting and easy navigation to elements in the stack trace.
The conclusion of the analysis:
C# Wasm AOT still
has a long way to become a general and performant client side web
programming platform. Note: The usage of the Uno.Wasm.Bootstrap
toolchain may have affected the performance of some of the benchmarks.
Thus, this analysis should not be regarded as a benchmark of the
finalized product. However, note that the Uno platform is using ".NET 6
WebAssembly Mixed mode AOT/Interpreter" (source).
