ChatGPT is bullshit

Recently, there has been considerable interest in large language models: machine learning systems which produce human-like text and dialogue. Applications of these systems have been plagued by persistent inaccuracies in their output; these are often called “AI hallucinations”. We argue that these falsehoods, and the overall activity of large language models, is better understood as bullshit in the sense explored by Frankfurt (On Bullshit, Princeton, 2005): the models are in an important way indifferent to the truth of their outputs. We distinguish two ways in which the models can be said to be bullshitters, and argue that they clearly meet at least one of these definitions. We further argue that describing AI misrepresentations as bullshit is both a more useful and more accurate way of predicting and discussing the behaviour of these systems.

All of these tools are shipped as part of Visual Studio but are not installed in the same way as you would install them manually. They are all located in the Visual Studio install directory and are used by some of the new features such as the Task Runner Explorer and the new ASP.NET 5 project system. 

In the recent interview with Scott Hanselman, Roberta Arcoverde, Head of Engineering at Stack Overflow, revealed the story about the architecture of Stack Overflow. They handle more than 6000 requests per second, 2 billion page views per month, and they manage to render a page in about 12 milliseconds. We imagine they use a microservice solution running in the Cloud with Kubernetes.

  • Nullable view and page models: Nullable page and view models are now supported to improve the experience when using null state checking.

  • Handle location changing events: Intercept location changing events to create custom user experiences when navigating.
  • Bind after/get/set modifiers: Run async logic after data binding and independently control how data binding gets and sets the data.
  • Dynamic authentication requests: Create dynamic authentication requests at runtime with custom parameters to handle advanced authentication scenarios in Blazor WebAssembly apps.

Sometimes, it could be usefull to manipulate all these checkboxes as a unique array.

angular.checkboxes module lets you turn your list of checkboxes into a unique destination array, providing :

• two-way binding: manipulate the destination array will check/uncheck the checkboxes AND check/uncheck the checkboxes will modify the destination array.
• no isolated scope for each checkbox: the directive does not create new child scope.
• a mtCheckboxController: internal controller can be injected to other directives.
