* IO bound methods have gained an async counterpart. Not intended for parallelism, make sure to await each
call before further interacting with a session and its queries.
* Strongly typed DML operation (insert/update/delete) are now available as Linq extensions on queryables.
* Entities collections can be queried with .AsQueryable() Linq extension without being fully loaded.
* Reference documentation has been curated and completed, notably with a Linq section.
 

• Support for .NET Core 2.0: you can now edit, run, debug, test, navigate and refactor your shiny new .NET Core applications.
  
• Rider 2017.2 comes with ReSharper 2017.2 as its engine for providing .NET support. This means a number of features announced with ReSharper 2017.2 are now available in Rider. 

Wow – this was probably our biggest update ever! Version 2.0 of IdentityServer4 is not only incorporating all the feedback we got over the last year, it also includes the necessary updates for ASP.NET Core 2 – and also has a couple of brand new features. ReSharper 2017.2.2 fixes the annoying code completion bug with duplicate parentheses 

It comes with full support for .NET Core 2.0, adds MSTest, various NuGet improvements, a new debugger tool window for visualizing Parallel Stacks and marking of instances, new refactorings and more. And with ReSharper 2017.2 now released, we’ve updated the ReSharper version powering Rider, too. Which brings improved support for C# 7.0, initial support for C# 7.1, new code inspections, navigation improvements, and so on. Let’s look at a few highlights! 

Updated webpack, TypeScript 2.5 support, Bugfixes 

ReSharper 2017.2 understands .NET Core 2.0and C# 7.1, gets better at C# 7.0,provides more code inspections and context actions including new IEnumerableinspections, delivers many powerful navigation and search improvements, brings new C# typing assists, levels up support for TypeScript, JavaScript, JSON and Angular. 

The ASP.NET team is proud to announce general availability of ASP.NET Core 2.0.  This release features compatibility with .NET Core 2.0, tooling support in Visual Studio 2017 version 15.3, and the new Razor Pages user-interface design paradigm.  For a full list of updates, you can read the release notes.  The latest SDK and tools can be downloaded from https://dot.net/core. Read the .NET Core 2.0 release announcement for more information and watch the launch video on Channel 9.

 .NET Core 2.0 is available today as a final release. You can start developing with it at the command line, in your favorite text editor, in Visual Studio 2017 15.3, Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio for Mac. It is ready for production workloads, on your own hardware or your favorite cloud, like Microsoft Azure.
