Git is a free, open source and quite popular distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency. Starting with the command line and ending up in both VS Code and Visual Studio, Paul takes us on a tour of the how you can use Git to manage your source code.
Last week, at ng-conf, the Angular team at Google provided the web developer world with an update on the state of Angular 2. They were joined on stage by a member of the TypeScript team, Jonathan Turner, to also announce that Angular 2 will be built using TypeScript. Jonathan then demoed a preview of the upcoming TypeScript 1.5 release via an Angular 2 sample application.

Visual Studio has improved the cross-platform development experience with a new remote file explorer, Linux Console output to the Integrated Terminal window, dev container improvements, and more.
Beyond individuals, Visual Studio also has new features to better support dev teams at scale, with exportable configuration files and a persistent update toggle helping ensure everyone on your team is working from the latest version of the tool.
