.NET 9.0 LINQ Performance Improvements

With .NET 9, LINQ becomes faster in several common scenarios. As with every new version of .NET, you simply need to migrate and recompile to take advantage of these improvements. Additionally, LINQ has been optimized in other ways: SIMD is utilized whenever possible, such as when summing a sequence of integers. Moreover, enumerating empty sequences incurs lower costs due to early detection.

PGlite - PostgreSQL را به صورت محلی در Node، Bun و همچنین در مرورگر اجرا کنید

PGlite is a WASM (Webassembly) based TypeScript/JavaScript client library which helps to run PostgreSQL locally in Browser or in NodeJS / Bun. It does not include any dependencies. It is very light weight and it's size is 3 MB Gzipped. It supports many Postgres extensions like pgvector, live queries, bloom, btree, earthdistance, fuzzymatch and lot morebun.

Rider 2024.2.6 منتشر شد
Rider 2024.2.6 is out and introduces highly requested support for the .slnx format for solution files. This build also has several important fixes. The Show Diff Preview on Single Click option is available in the Commit dialog again, and there is no longer an issue with copying and pasting text from Rider when CWM is enabled.

DARPA Wants All C Converted To Rust

After more than two decades of grappling with memory safety issues in C and C++, the software engineering community has reached a consensus. It’s not enough to rely on bug-finding tools. The preferred approach is to use “safe” programming languages that can reject unsafe programs at compile time, thereby preventing the emergence of memory safety issues.

Starting with the 2021.2 releases of our .NET productivity tools, including ReSharper and Rider (on Windows), we will require .NET Framework 4.7.2 or newer installed on your machine. Earlier versions of our .NET tools will continue to work on .NET Framework 4.6.1.

یک نکته‌ی تکمیلی: تبدیلگرهای DateTimeOffset برای بانک‌های اطلاعاتی که از آن پشتیبانی نمی‌کنند

خود EF Core به همراه تبدیلگرهای توکار زیر برای کار ساده‌تر با DateTimeOffset در بانک اطلاعاتی‌هایی مانند SQLite و یا MySQL است:

DateTimeOffsetToBinaryConverter - DateTimeOffset to binary-encoded 64-bit value (stores it as a long, slight reduction in precision)

DateTimeOffsetToBytesConverter - DateTimeOffset to byte array (stores it as a 12 byte array, 8 bytes for time, 4 bytes for offset. Full precision.)

DateTimeOffsetToStringConverter - DateTimeOffset to string (ISO 8601 string including timezone)
