C# Today and Tomorrow
Mads Torgersen discusses how C# is evolving, how the teams work in the open source space, and some of the future features and changes to the language (C# 7).
 

By placing under source control everything we need to describe any version of a database, we make it much easier to achieve consistent database builds and releases, to find out who made which changes and why, and to access all database support materials. Matthew Skelton explains how to make sure your version control system fully supports all phases of the database lifecycle, from governance, development, delivery and through to operations. 

- PWA support: Chrome 76 makes it easier to install PWA (Progressive Web Apps) on the desktop by adding an install button to the address bar (omnibox).
- Flash is now blocked by default.
- A new mode for third-party cookies is enabled.

• We have two new refactorings for global usings, Extract Global Using and Inline Global Using, with Find Usages support for this feature.
• For nullable reference types, we’ve split the “should never be null” warning into two categories: one for those who look at NRT annotation and one for those who have a runtime check for null. We’ve also added a setting to enable runtime enforced not null warnings only, and supported [MemberNotNull] and [MemberNotNullWhen] annotations.
• We’ve implemented generic attributes support for C#11.

The new i18n story in Angular

Internationalization support in Angular has been very poor so far. You might know that there’s anngLocalemodule you need to include, which is used by a couple components, likengPluralize,dateandcurrencyfilter to name a few, and that’s pretty much it. As we’ve already discussed, there’s so much more that comes into play when internationalizing an application, which is why there’s finally a new solution evolving that will bring first-class i18n support to the Angular framework.
