.NET 9 adds experimental dark mode for Windows Forms
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to setup and install ASP.NET Core 2.1 on Linux. I did it for the first time in 15 minutes with no previous experience with .NET Core on Linux. I did it the second time, in production, in 5 minutes by following these instructions.
In this article, I show you how to install the .NET Core runtime on CentOS, how to get a sample ASP.NET Core project running on Kestrel as a service for reliability, and how to configure both the code and the firewall to enable remote access. Finally, I discuss what I would do differently for actual production usage.
Today we announce .NET 7 Release Candidate 1. This is the first of two release candidates (RC) for .NET 7 that are supported in production.
The .NET Core and the Core Libraries are open source and run on Windows, Mac, and Linux. In fact, you can run them with support, today, in production on Windows and Linux (Mac is for development, not production).
Using Mono for running .NET Core tests on Linux

As we prepare the general availability (GA) release of .NET 9 in November we are adding our final touches around performance, stability, and any additional optimizations to make it the best release of .NET 9. Today, we are excited to announce the release of .NET 9 Release Candidate 2. As with Release Candidate 1, this release is covered by a go-live license so you can receive support when using it in your production applications. We encourage developers today to try out this latest release and give the teams feedback on anything that you find in your development so we can incorporate any additional enhancements into the final release.
