Today, we’re releasing .NET 5.0 Preview 2. It contains a set of smaller features and performance improvements. We’re continuing to work on the bigger features that will define the 5.0 release, some of which are starting to show up as initial designs at dotnet/designs.

Originally developed at Google, gRPC today is a remote procedure call (RPC) framework that has emerged as an alternative to RESTful and HTTP-based interfaces to connect remote components and specifically microservices. The new RPC framework was created in part to work with modern technologies such as HTTP/2 and Protobuf.

However, it is clear that Microsoft’s future direction is in the Core space . Yes, the last update to the full .NET framework did include improvements for ASP.NET and WebForms, but clearly the future innovation and hard work will be in the new core frameworks like .NET core, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework core, and whatever other cores come along in the future. 

In this short video Nate shows us how to use Entity Framework 7 in a cross platform way (on a mac in this case). One of the guiding principles (as outlined by Rowan in an earlier video) was the ability to use EF7 on any kind of device. This video shows the culmination of that work.

Well perhaps the first thing to say is that Windows Desktop apps will still work on Windows 10 without any changes. You can even make use of the new Window 10 APIs in a Win32 application and there are improvements in .NET 4.6. Even WPF receives some attention

A Gantt chart is mainly used in project management. It is a bar chart, designed by Henry Gantt, that shows a project schedule. Gantt chart illustrates elements contained in the work breakdown structure (WBS) of the project. Gantt charts usually show the start and finish dates of WBS elements and also show the dependency relationships between them.
