Microsoft today officially announced the release date of the next feature update for Windows 10, formerly referred to as the "Spring Creators Update" but known officially as the "Windows 10 April 2018 Update." 

Entity Framework (EF) Core is the rearchitected and rewritten version of the Entity Framework object relational mapping engine for .NET Core applications. It is very light-weight, extensible, and cross platform.

However, high transaction .NET Core applications using EF Core face performance and scalability bottlenecks in the database-tier under peak loads. This is because, although you can linearly scale the application tier by adding more application servers, you cannot add more database servers to scale it.

But, if you use a distributed cache like NCache in your .NET Core applications, you can quickly remove these performance and scalability bottlenecks and handle extreme transaction loads. 

Microsoft has announced that the .NET Core 2.0 will be considered "end of life" and thus no longer supported as of October 1, 2018.  .NET Core 2.0 is considered a non-LTS release, and as such Microsoft only commits its support for three months after a successor has been released.  In this case, with .NET Core 2.1 having been released May 31, .NET Core 2.0’s end has come. 

Bootstrap Icons v1.9.0 is here with over 140 new and updated icons, including some longstanding requests for new brands, transportation options, numbers and letters, and so much more. With this release, we’re now at over 1,800 icons! 

In an attempt to correct many perceived deficiencies in Entity Framework Core, Microsoft is introducing 40 breaking changes to EF Core 3. You can see the entire breaking changes list on Microsoft Docs, but here are some of the highlights. 

Entity Signal allows you to connect to Entity Framework through SignalR and get updates on subscribed data in real time. This lowers the number of refreshes done by the user and ultimatly allows you to do more with fewer servers. It is also requires minimal changes, so you can make realtime apps about as easily as you can make standard apps.  

Hopefully the era of leprosy and corona is over for this time and it’s time to get back to blogging. Exceptions are powerful feature of object-oriented languages as far as they are used like they are thought to use – throw exception only when something really unexpected happens
