There are a lot of things to consider when choosing your database. Choose wisely because you’ll be married to that database for a long time. One case study is Amazon Marketplace which started with Oracle and tried to migrate after developing their own database solutions. The migration took somewhere between 5 to 10 years, and they seem to be still partially using Oracle. Though if your company reaches Amazon scale, then you’re probably doing very well.

Using UTC in Applications
Using UTC dates for data is a pretty common and necessary practice but it definitely adds some complexity when managing dates as you always have to remember to properly adjust dates. For display purposes this is pretty straight forward, but for query operations there’s a bit of mental overhead to ensure your date math adds up properly.
No easy solutions, but I hope this post and some of the helpers make life a little easier for you – I know they do for me.
اعتبارسنجی JSON با JSON-Schema
When you’re dealing with complex and structured data, you need to determine whether the data is valid or not. JSON-Schema is the standard of JSON documents that describes the structure and the requirements of your JSON data. In this two-part series, you’ll learn how to use JSON-Schema to validate data.

نگاهی به Duende IdentityServer 5
Securing your application is bloody important. With so much jargon to sift through, it’s easy to get lost, for example there’s SSO, OAuth2, SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, Federated Identity, 2FA, & MFA. Just to name a few! 😱 In this talk, Anthony will take an in depth look at Federated Identity using OpenID Connect and OAuth2 Framework for ASP. NET Core using Duende IdentityServer (aka IdentityServer 5). You will walk away knowing how to navigate the security options and avoid the madness.
There’s a lot you can do on GitHub that doesn’t require a complex development environment, like sharing feedback on a design discussion or reviewing a few lines of code. We’re making these tasks easier to complete while you’re on the go, with a fully-native experience. With GitHub for mobile, you have the flexibility to move work forward and stay in touch with your team, wherever you are
Unhandled exceptions are a bit of a misnomer. In .NET, every exception is handled. By the time you access the specifics of an error in your Try-Catch block, the Framework has already analyzed the problem, built a structure to contain its details, examined the stack trace, and used reflection to pinpoint the location of the error, among other mundane tasks. In short, when errors occur, .NET serves them up to your code in a neatly packaged, highly examinable data block.
