.NET 5 Preview 7 is now available and is ready for evaluation. Here’s what’s new in this release:
- Blazor WebAssembly apps now target .NET 5
- Updated debugging requirements for Blazor WebAssembly
- Blazor accessibility improvements
- Blazor performance improvements
- Certificate authentication performance improvements
- Sending HTTP/2 PING frames
- Support for additional endpoints types in the Kestrel sockets transport
- Custom header decoding in Kestrel
- Other minor improvements

The .NET Framework 4.8 includes an updated toolset as well as improvements in several areas:

- [WinForms] Accessibility Enhancements
- [WCF] Service Behavior Enhancements
- [WPF] High DPI Enhancements, UIAutomation Improvements
Once created, these custom elements -- a custom counter, for example -- can also be used in other single-page application (SPA) web frameworks such as React and Angular. A sample project, aptly titled Blazor Custom Elements, shows how to do just that, providing examples about how to work with those frameworks and the client-side Blazor WebAssembly component as well as Blazor Server.

If you're comfortable with JavaScript and the ecosystem, Vue is a solid framework which can easily scale up or down as your application requires.
On the other hand, if you already know and enjoy using C#, and have generally found JavaScript (the language and ecosystem) difficult to learn and live with, Blazor WASM is potentially a game changer.
