Announcing Entity Framework Core EF Core 5.0 Preview 7  

Today we are releasing the final version of Entity Framework Core 2.0, alongside .NET Core 2.0 and ASP.NET Core 2.0.

Entity Framework (EF) Core is the lightweight, extensible, and cross-platform version of Entity Framework, the popular Object/Relational Mapping (O/RM) framework for .NET. 

Rider 2018.1 adds support for Roslyn analyzers and Entity Framework, introduces XAML preview, takes Unity integration to a whole new level, improves debugger with Memory view and other updates, evolves F# and NuGet support.

Today, the Entity Framework Core team announces the first release candidate (RC1) of EF Core 5.0. This is a feature complete release candidate of EF Core 5.0 and ships with a "go live" license. You are supported using it in production.  

Here are some important fixes we’ve made in the Rider 2019.1.3 build:

• Fixes to make the Entity Framework integration work again.
• A fix to correctly resolve file paths in ASP.NET markup files.
• Fixed support for .ashx files.
• To-do items won’t disappear after adding a new custom To-do. 

· EF 7.0.0 will not become the “official” version of Entity Framework.
· EF6 will continue to be the official version.
· EF6 will continue to be what’s delivered when you install entityframework via Nuget.
· Your apps that use EF6 will not automatically update to EF7!
