ASP.NET is one of the most successful web application development frameworks by Microsoft. With every update, new and extended features are added that help developers deploy highly scalable and high-performance web applications.

When coupled with application monitoring and other performance tools, such as a profiler, ASP.NET becomes a powerful solution for building incredible apps.

Within the framework itself, there are myriad features to help you overcome common development challenges, do more with your apps, and boost performance. 

These are the customer-reported issues addressed in 15.7.4:

• Green squiggles and light bulb with "Macro in skipped region" message.
• F7 does not switch to code.
• F7 does not build anymore.
• F7 build does not work.
• LINK : error : Telemetry event upload failed: 'Failed to open connection to VCTIP'.
• AXML file doesn't open after update.
• F7 no longer toggles between the designer and the code.
• XAML Editor Error: Window is not supported in WPF project.
• WinForms View.ToggleDesigner does not work as it used to.
• Toggle designer key binding lost.
• F7 does not start a new build.
• F7 no longer toggles between Designer and Code views.
• There is a problem with structure definition in C language.
• Provisioning a new SQL Server and new SQL DB in a different region than the App Service plan fails.

Git Security Vulnerability

We also fixed a security vulnerability in Git that was disclosed by the Git community. The vulnerability can lead to arbitrary code execution when a user clones a malicious repository. This blog post has more information. 

A/B testing is a great tool for having your users test your site. It is used by some of the largest sites on the internet to optimize their pages to get people to do exactly what they want.

• This release includes a fix that reduces memory usage and GC pressure during solution load.

Microsoft Security Advisory for .NET Core Denial Of Service Vulnerability

CVE-2018-0765

Microsoft is releasing this security advisory to provide information about a vulnerability in .NET Core and .NET native version 2.0. This advisory also provides guidance on what developers can do to update their applications to remove this vulnerability.

Microsoft is aware of a denial of service vulnerability that exists when .NET Framework and .NET Core improperly process XML documents. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could cause a denial of service against a .NET Framework, .NET Core, or .NET native application.

The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how .NET Framework, .NET Core, and .NET native applications handle XML document processing.

If your application is an ASP.NET Core application, developers are also advised to update to ASP.NET Core 2.0.8. 

If you are used to manipulate HTML forms, you probably know that each checkbox is a separate variable (or maybe an ngModel with AngularJS).  Demo

Sometimes, it could be usefull to manipulate all these checkboxes as a unique array.

angular.checkboxes module lets you turn your list of checkboxes into a unique destination array, providing :

• two-way binding: manipulate the destination array will check/uncheck the checkboxes AND check/uncheck the checkboxes will modify the destination array.
• no isolated scope for each checkbox: the directive does not create new child scope.
• a mtCheckboxController: internal controller can be injected to other directives. 

As part of our .NET unification, Xamarin.iOS and Xamarin.Android will become part of .NET 6 as .NET for iOS and .NET for Android. Because these bindings are projections of the SDKs shipped from Apple and Google, nothing changes there, however build tooling, target framework monikers, and runtime framework monikers will be updated to match all other .NET 6 workloads. Our commitment to keeping .NET developers up-to-date with the latest mobile SDKs is foundational to .NET MAUI and remains firm. When .NET 6 ships, we expect to ship a final release of Xamarin SDKs in their current form that will be serviced for a year. All modern work will at that time shift to .NET 6.
