Today Angular Team released Angular 7 beta.0 release. Many of us will be curious about the kind of features and bug fixes that we can see in this beta release. 

ES7 gives us a new kind of function, the async function. Inside of an async function, we have a new keyword, await, which we use to "wait for" a promise 

.NET 8 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) is now available and includes many great new improvements to ASP.NET Core!

This is the last release candidate that we plan to share before the final .NET 8 release later this year. Most of the planned features and changes for .NET 8 are part of this release candidate and are ready for you to try out. The winner in terms of serialize speed is again FlatBuffer which still has the lowest overhead, but you need to go through a more complex compiler chain to generate the de/serialization code. The new entry MemoryPack is second which is the newest serializer 

 Today Doug Mahugh, Senior Technical Evangelist for Microsoft Open Technologies Inc., announced the release of an Open XML SDK as an open source project through the MS Open Tech hub. Although the SDK has been available since 2007, this release includes full source code available under the Apache 2.0 license on GitHub, as well as the project will continue to grow under the stewardship of the .NET Foundation

Some months ago a feature landed in Xamarin.Forms that seemed to truly polarize the Xamarin.Forms community: support for styling applications using CSS. Some argued that it was an unnecessary introduction to "Web" technology to the native development experience, and others that it simply isn't the right solution to the problem.  While I sympathize with the latter opinion and think there's plenty of room for some good debate on the right path forward, I count myself as part of a third camp: I think that CSS is a powerful (and frequently maligned) solution to the problem of styling native mobile applications.

Today we released .NET 7 Preview 5. This preview of .NET 7 includes improvements to Generic Math which make the lives of API authors easier, a new Text Classification API for ML.NET that adds state-of-the-art deep learning techniques for natural language processing, various improvements to source code generators and a new Roslyn analyzer and fixer for RegexGenerator and multiple performance improvements in the areas of CodeGen, Observability, JSON serialization / deserialization and working with streams. 

A Microsoft exec has warned that Internet Explorer is a ‘compatibility solution’ and should only be used selectively. Preaching to the choir here, and this is, we suspect, the very end of IE's long story for us.
