.NET 5 Preview 6 is now available and is ready for evaluation. Here’s what’s new in this release:

• Blazor WebAssembly template now included
• JSON extension methods for HttpRequest and HttpResponse
• Extension method to allow anonymous access to an endpoint
• Custom handling of authorization failures
• SignalR Hub filters 

.NET 8 Preview 7 is now available. We’re already at the final preview release for .NET 8 and will now shift to release candidates. Almost all new features for the release are in their final shape. System.Text.Json and codegen have the biggest changes in this build. You’ll want to take a look at those. Now is great time to pick up and test .NET 8 if you haven’t yet.  

In this video we perform a full step by step build of a .NET MAUI App that we test on both Windows and Android. The app interacts with a separate .NET 6 API that we also build step by step.

This is a defense of the most prolific and dedicated public servant that has graced the world in my lifetime. One man has added hundreds of billions, if not trillions of dollars of value to the global economy. This man has worked tirelessly for the benefit of everyone around him. It is impossible to name a publicly traded company that has not somehow benefited from his contributions, and many have benefited to the tune of billions. In return for the countless billions of wealth that people made from the fruits of his labor, he was rewarded with poverty and ridicule. Now that the world is done taking from him, they are heading to the next step of vilifying him as incompetent.

Essentially, a bot is an application that can automate repetitive tasks or serve information to a user and, more and more, can interact with a user using natural language. As these bots get more intelligent and better at understanding us, this is providing a wide spectrum of use cases for bots to be used by and assist almost everyone. 

Entity Framework is Microsoft’s flagship Object/Relation Mapper, and the recommended way to access relational databases. MockHttp is a testing layer for Microsoft's HttpClient library. It allows stubbed responses to be configured for matched HTTP requests and can be used to test your application's service layer.
