The .NET team has built a linker to reduce the size of .NET Core applications. It is built on top of the excellent and battle-tested mono linker. The Xamarin tools also use this linker so it makes sense to try it out and perhaps use it everywhere!

Hackers are smart and users are not being able to cope with their pace of evolution. The result is malware outbreaks we get to know about frequently. Windows is the most widely used OS on Pcs. That makes it the most widely targeted OS too. What is an average user’s (by average I mean not too technical) defense in such case? The anti malware programs. Of course, you have to pay a decent price for your PC to be secured from latest malware derivatives, but what’s better than to get the security for no cost?

When .NET Core is installed it ends up in C:\program files\dotnet on Windows, for example. In the "Shared" folder there's a bunch of .NET stuff that is, well, shared. There may be multiple folders, as you can see in my folder below. You can have many and multiple installs of .NET Core.

I've been a culprit of this until recently.
