2020 is a very special year for many reasons. The most important one: for the first time in 5 years the overall winner of the Rising Stars is not called Vue.js but Deno... what a surprise! 

The latest round of layoffs in Microsoft’s Windows Phone business— 1,850 jobs will be cut, according to an announcement earlier this week—seems to signal the final death gasp of a segment of the company’s business that has long struggled. Windows phones currently make up less than one percent of smartphones sold worldwide. 

I can tell at least that in 3 years, JavaScript will gain more the status of a VM and lose the status of a language. Already today, not many people use raw JavaScript. You usually have some transpilation, at least e.g. Babel. In the future, Web Assembly will enable more innovation in that regards, and existing transpiling languages like Elm, TypeScript, PureScript will continue to improve. 

Announcing Preview 1 of ASP.NET MVC 5.2.4, Web API 5.2.4, and Web Pages 3.2.4 

This release contains some minor bug fixes and a couple of new features specifically targeted at enabling .NET Standard support for the ASP.NET Web API Client.  

If you are used to manipulate HTML forms, you probably know that each checkbox is a separate variable (or maybe an ngModel with AngularJS).  Demo

Sometimes, it could be usefull to manipulate all these checkboxes as a unique array.

angular.checkboxes module lets you turn your list of checkboxes into a unique destination array, providing :

• two-way binding: manipulate the destination array will check/uncheck the checkboxes AND check/uncheck the checkboxes will modify the destination array.
• no isolated scope for each checkbox: the directive does not create new child scope.
• a mtCheckboxController: internal controller can be injected to other directives.

The new SameSite behavior has been the default in Firefox Nightly since Nightly 75 (February 2020). At Mozilla, we’ve been able to explore the implications of this change. Starting with Firefox 79 (June 2020), we rolled it out to 50% of the Firefox Beta user base. We want to monitor the scope of any potential breakage.
