Dirty IT secret No. 6: We know a lot more about you than you think 

The data validated our hypothesis — of the average 9.3 million daily visits to Stack Overflow, we get fewer than 88,000 clicks to the navigation or top bar (this includes inbox, rep, profile, and search.) If you divided each individual click per visit, that’s fewer than 1% of visits navigating anywhere (and far fewer if you counted multiple clicks per visit). Our navigation is not being used by 99% of our users.

Today we are excited to announce the preview of the Microsoft Build of OpenJDK, a new no-cost Long-Term Support (LTS) distribution of OpenJDK that is open source and available for free for anyone to deploy anywhere. It includes binaries for Java 11, based on OpenJDK 11.0.10+9, on x64 server and desktop environments on macOS, Linux, and Windows. We are also publishing a new Early Access binary for Java 16 for Windows on ARM, based on the latest OpenJDK 16+36 release. 

jQuery 3.6.0 has been released! In jQuery 3.5.0, the major change was a security fix for the html prefilter. This release does not include a security fix, but does have some good bug fixes and improvements. We still have our eyes on a jQuery 4.0 release, but until then we will continue to support the 3.x branch and address important issues. 

Partial views in ASP.NET MVC allow you to reuse and customise components to act like user controls. They consist of both code and markup. They are an idea that is easy to grasp but they have great potential for the more adventurous developer who is prepared to experiment. Dino Esposito explains
