We’re excited to announce the release of .NET Core 3.0. It includes many improvements, including adding Windows Forms and WPF, adding new JSON APIs, support for ARM64 and improving performance across the board. C# 8 is also part of this release, which includes nullable, async streams, and more patterns. F# 4.7 is included, and focused on relaxing syntax and targeting .NET Standard 2.0. You can start updating existing projects to target .NET Core 3.0 today. The release is compatible with previous versions, making updating easy. 

Lambda expressions (or lambda functions) are essentially blocks of code that can be assigned to variables, passed as an argument, or returned from a function call, in languages that support high-order (first-class) functions. 

JSON columns

• Introduce common patterns for JSON support that can be implemented by any database provider.
• JSON column support will be implemented for SQL Server and SQLite. (Note that the PostgreSQL and MySQL providers already support JSON columns.) 

• Modal progress dialog stays open permanently even when IDE is responsive ('Preparing Solution', 'Creating Project', Edit and Continue, etc).
• PackageId:OpenJDKV1;PackageAction:Uninstall;ReturnCode:0;.
• .sql files are empty.
• Properties Window in Forms Designer shows vertical scrollbar without drag handle with automatic scaling on 4K display in Visual Studio 2019 RC.
• VSIXInstaller.exe crashes randomly when installing multiple extensions sequentially in Visual Studio 2019 RC.1.
• MSBuild failure when executing multi-line Exec commands.
• You can now use Time Travel Debugging with the snapshot debugger on ASP.NET Apps running on an Azure VM. Please note that this feature may not work in all Azure regions at release. 

We have a long, complex, difficult to understand method that is extremely hard to refactor under these circumstances. And that’s just looking at the mutability smells in code.

A few years ago, we took over maintenance and guidance for the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit project. Please refer to this blog post for more information on the project and why we stepped in to assist.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the project, we’ve released an update (ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit v19.1.0) to address the following issues.
