The .NET Framework 4.7 includes improvements in several areas:

1. High DPI support for Windows Forms applications on Windows 10
   
2. Touch support for WPF applications on Windows 10
   
3. Enhanced cryptography support
   
4. Performance and reliability improvements 
   

This release contains some minor bug fixes and a couple of new features specifically targeted at enabling .NET Standard support for the ASP.NET Web API Client.  

- SPs will no longer be made available. Only CUs, and GDRs when needed.
- CUs will be delivered more often at first and then less frequently. Every month for the first 12 months, and every quarter for the remainder 4 years of the full 5-year mainstream lifecycle.
- CUs are delivered on the same week of the month: week of 3rd Tuesday.

This is a cumulative servicing update that provides fixes to Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 3. These fixes address high-impact bugs that were either found by the product team or reported by the community. This update will be released on a recurring basis as new bugs are found and fixed.

Today we are pleased to announce the availability of .NET Multi-platform App UI (.NET MAUI) Preview 4.
