Overall, .NET 5 demonstrates a significant performance improvement over .NET Framework in XAP’s scenario. While there is still more work to do, the overall picture is clear that .NET 5 is phenomenally superior in most respects.
For this release our team been has been focusing on performance, polish, and stability. We’ve been working on speeding up the compiler and editing experience, getting rid of friction and papercuts, and reducing bugs and crashes.

Today we’re announcing the release of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 18.3. For this update, while we added some features, our focus was primarily on fundamentals such as stability, reliability, and performance.
The main theme for this ASP.NET Core release was to improve developer productivity and platform functionality with regard to building Web/HTTP APIs. As usual, we made some performance improvements as well.
