مقایسه کارآیی خروجی زبان‌های مختلف برنامه نویسی

Microbenchmark testing Python, Numba, Mojo, Dart, C/gcc, Rust, Go, JavaScript, C#, Java, Kotlin, Pascal, Ruby, Haskell performance in Mandelbrot set generation

Benchmarking several languages/tools with Mandelbrot set generation. 1-to-1 translation of code from one language to another. No SIMD, no multithreading (except prange() trick with Numba), no tricks (e.g. skipping sqrt), a bare minimum of language specific adjustments to make the code nicer while keeping all loops and operations in place.

در آینده‌ی JavaScript کمتر از خود JavaScript استفاده خواهد شد

I can tell at least that in 3 years, JavaScript will gain more the status of a VM and lose the status of a language. Already today, not many people use raw JavaScript. You usually have some transpilation, at least e.g. Babel. In the future, Web Assembly will enable more innovation in that regards, and existing transpiling languages like Elm, TypeScript, PureScript will continue to improve.

گپ و گفتی با مهندسان طراح دات نت در مورد آینده این فریم ورک

This article dives into the mock questions I would ask, along with responses that are my personal best guess to the answers. Could my answers not reflect actual opinions shared by the team at Microsoft? Sure, but I'm hoping folks from the .NET team can jump in to correct me if I am way off base.

This is a rather interesting time for .NET – what's being done shapes the future of .NET for the next decade. Let's ask the honest questions and hopefully all of us will understand the new .NET ecosystem a little better.

شناخت NET Core, NETStandard, .NET Core applications and ASP.NET Core

As anyone in the .NET community who hasn't been living under a rock will know, there's a lot of exciting things happening with .NET at the moment with the announcement of the open source, cross platform, .NET Core. However, partly due to the very open nature of its evolution, there's been a whole host of names associated with its development - vNext, ASP.NET 5, ASP.NET Core, .NET generations etc.

In this post I'm going to try and clarify some of the naming and terminology surrounding the evolution of the .NET framework. I'll discuss some of the challenges the latest iteration is attempting to deal with and how the latest developments aim to address these.

This is really for those that have seen some of the big announcements but aren't sure about the intricacies of this new framework and how it relates to the existing ecosystem, which was my situation before I really started digging into it all properly!

Hopefully by the end of this article you'll have a clearer grasp of the latest in .NET!
