Today, we are releasing .NET 5.0 Preview 8. The .NET 5.0 release is now “feature complete”, meaning that very nearly all features are in their final form (with the exception of bug fixes still to come). Preview 8 is, appropriately, the last preview. We plan on releasing two go-live release candidates before the final .NET 5.0 release in November. This post describes a selection of features across the .NET 5.0 release. 

Top Issues Fixed in Visual Studio 2019 version 16.6.0

• When New Git experience feature flag is enabled, a message will appear in Team Explorer guiding users to the new Git tool window.
• Fix for intermittent UI delay while closing VS when WinForms .NET Core designer is in open state.

Our final beta for Bootstrap 5 has come with some amazing new changes, including a new component!), documentation updates, and more. We’ve also fixed some important bugs since our last release, in particular with our dependencies. Next up is our stable release!

We’re excited to share all the new features and improvements in .NET 8 Preview 5! This release is a follow-up to the Preview 4 release. You’ll continue to see many more features show up with these monthly releases. .NET 6 and 7 users will want to follow this release closely since we have focused on making it a straightforward upgrade path. 

this release we are all-in on Visual Studio 2022 Preview 2. This also marks the first time we are shipping .NET MAUI as a workload installation.
