A .NET guideline specifies that an application should never throw a NullReferenceException. However, many applications and libraries do. The NullReferenceException is the most common exception happening. That’s why C# 8 tries to get rid of it. With C# 8, reference types are not null be default. This is a big change, and a great feature. However, what about all the legacy code? Can old libraries be used with C# 8 applications, and can C# 7 applications make use of C# 8 libraries?

The future of WebAssembly - A look at upcoming features and proposals

WebAssembly is a performance optimised virtual machine that was shipped in all four major browsers earlier this year. It is a nascent technology and the current version is very much an MVP (minimum viable product). This blog post takes a look at the WebAssembly roadmap and the features it might be gain in the near future.

I’ll try to keep this blog post relatively high-level, so I’ll skip over some of the more technical proposals, instead focusing on what they might mean for languages that target WebAssembly. 

This third week of the boot camp was all about learning C#. This means writing a lot of console apps and getting familiar with the standard classes in the .NET framework. 

• They lost to Kubernetes. Docker was pushing Swarm hard, but couldn’t keep up with Kubernetes and the ecosystem.

• Fixed a crash in some cases when displaying the Quick Info tooltip for C++ code.
• Fixed a crash when closing Visual Studio.

this is not a small update. ASP.NET vNext is a major change that is as big as the step was from the original, classic Active Server Pages to ASP.NET.
