When Ruby on Rails, a web application framework written in the Ruby programming language, was first released as open source back in July 2004, it stumbled to rise in the rankings as one of the top programming languages. But in 2006, Apple announced that it would be shipping Ruby on Rails with their Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard” and Ruby soon became known and used by many. So much so, that the TIOBE index, a measure of the popularity of programming languages, named Ruby the “Programming Language of 2006.” However, due to some scalability issues and the release of other exciting new tools, such as Node.js and AngularJS, Ruby started to lose its popularity and by 2008 it seemed as if it was on its way out. 

After five alphas over the last nine months, Bootstrap Icons has officially gone stable with our v1.0.0 release! We’re now over 1,100 icons and are on track to add hundreds more in our upcoming minor releases. This has been a labor of love and I’m thrilled to ship this latest update. 

jQuery Sortable is a flexible, opinionated sorting plugin. It enables items in a list (or table etc.) to be sorted horizontally and vertically using the mouse. Supports nested lists and pure drag/drop containers.  Demo

In this post I described the problem that by default, DataAnnotation validation doesn't recursively inspect all properties in an object for DataAnnotation attributes. There are several solutions to this problem, but in this post I used the MiniValidation library from Damian Edwards. This simple library provides a convenience wrapper around DataAnnotation validation, as well as providing features like recursive validation. Finally I showed how you can replace the built-in DataAnnotation validation with a MiniValidation-based validator
